Day 6 - Sorry

Saying sorry is often the hardest thing to do but it’s a vital part of our faith. We must be honest with God, confess and say sorry.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Acts 3:19. (NIV UK)

Father God,

I praise you for this new day that your mercies are new every morning.

Thank you that you know me and love me with all my strengths and all my weaknesses.

I bow my head before you now to say sorry and ask you to help me make the changes I need.

I confess all the ways I’ve let you down by doing things or thinking things I shouldn’t have done

I’m sorry

I confess all the ways I’ve let you down by not doing things I should have

I’m sorry

I confess all the ways I’ve abused your beautiful planet by not caring for it as I should

I’m sorry

I confess all the times I’ve spoken of or thought negatively of others

I’m sorry

I confess all the times I’ve spoken of or thought negatively about myself

I’m sorry

I confess all the times I’ve not shared my faith or been bold to tell others about church

I’m sorry

I thank you for the blood of Jesus.

I thank you for the promise of your forgiveness when we confess.

Have mercy Father God. Amen.
