Day 10 - Prayer is precious

Writer: Congregational FederationCongregational Federation

The effective prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. James 5:16b (LEB)

Prayer is a luxury; we can use anytime, anywhere, and about anything to commune directly with God. I repeat, directly with God. Let us not forget, although prayer is free to us, Christ paid for this privilege with his life, and we should not take it for granted. During prayer, we can praise God, confess our sins, ask for help, seek guidance, make requests, share both our hopes and fears, and listen. Not only that, but we have the Holy Spirit to help and guide us.

So, I encourage each of you to stop what you are doing and just pray. You can pray with your eyes open or closed, silently or aloud, individually or in a group. Open your heart and your mind and pray to God with passion. I repeat, praise God, confess your sins, ask for help, seek guidance, make requests, share your hopes and fears, and listen. Do it now, repeat frequently, and feel God’s love coursing through your veins.

Prayer – over to you.
