Happy Friday!
It’s the day before the May Assembly when people from Congregational churches all over GB will gather to worship, celebrate and meet together. This year we are in the Eastern Area in Colchester.
Let’s focus our prayers on our special weekend.
“Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.”

Father God, we thank you for the Congregational Federation for your faithfulness to us over 52 years and as we gather this weekend we pray you will send your Holy Spirit upon us, anoint us as we gather to worship you, discuss business and celebrate.
We are sorry for times when you have been forgotten or we have been distracted from our work of advancing the Christian faith.
We thank you for Jesus who is the head of our church.
We pray for safe and easy journeys for everyone attending.
We pray for Joy and Julie and all the children attending the children’s Assembly.
We pray for the technicians that everything works and the set up this afternoon goes as planned.
We pray for all those speaking and presenting reports - give them wisdom as they speak.
We pray for Elisabeth Sweeney Smith who will be inducted as President, we pray divine protection over her as she travels and visits churches.
We pray for the new churches being welcomed and the six newly accredited Ministers.
We pray for all those working behind the scenes to make the weekend a success.
May everyone leave feeling encouraged and inspired in their faith.
We pray peace over our gatherings and a mighty movement of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
