I look up to the mountains — does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
Psalm 121
Lord, it’s a week after Easter now.
The Easter eggs are eaten,
the celebrations shared,
the hallelujahs raised,
the praises shouted …
… and now we feel a little lost.
A little confused.
A little unsure of what comes next…
How can we keep the Easter Joy in our hearts? In our lives? In our service of you?
Lord, we ask that you will help us, so that we can truly love and serve others for you each and every day.
Give us your love in our hearts and put your mission on our minds.
Give us the encouragement we need and the strength to go on when we are finding things tough.
Help us to continue to look in the tomb and find it empty, each and every time doubts start to form or we feel ourselves stumbling.
Help us to feel the joy and excitement of the revelation of you as our risen Lord, every day.
May we do everything that we can to be part of your plan for the world.
May we always have the Easter joy in our lives and may that joy spill over to those around us.
Lord, we want to be Easter people, full of life and joy and love for you and others.
Help us to become all you have planned for us, for we long to fulfil the potential you see in us
For we ask all our prayers in the name of our risen Saviour. Amen
