Day 41 - FRIDAY
- Congregational Federation
- Dec 12, 2025
- 2 min read

I often take calls from people who are struggling with a problem or situation and I love to offer encouragement and prayer. On my desk is a book one of my friends bought me for Christmas a few years ago (if you are still looking for a gift for someone it will be perfect!). It’s called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young and in this particular conversation I reached out for the book and it was about prayer and how to pray continuously: “When your mind is occupied with thanking me (God) you have no time for worrying or complaining.”
I love having within worship a word and use the letters to encourage people to shout out what they want to praise and thank God for.
Let use the word FRIDAY and pray together. Please add your own ideas in the comments.
Father God we come to you today with thankful hearts, we praise you, our wonderful mighty everlasting God.
We thank and praise you for things beginning with the letter:
F - family and friends fruit and forests faith and the Congregational Federation
R - rainbows and rabbits, relationships and roofs
I - ice cream and insects
D - daughters (and sons) daytime and dogs (and all pets), doctors and dentists
A - acorns and aunties (and uncles), ambulances and advent
Y - yesterday and Yuletide
Help us Father to pray continuously.
We have so much to be thankful for even in challenging and difficult times.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Amen.
Enjoy your day praying continuously.
