“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

It’s so hard to pick a favourite song or to pick a song to share for ASecludedPlace because there are so many good ones at the moment!! Premier Praise is the radio station I listen to and you know my favourite presenter is Josh Carr. In his afternoon show he runs an After School Club by encouraging the children who listen to leave a voice note with a song request.
Josiah Queen is always, always being asked for. His lyrics are powerful, tunes are catchy and you can jump up and down and sing your heart out in praise. Some favourites of mine are: “Watch your mouth” and “Dusty Bibles” - which are both worth listening to.
The one I have chosen for today though is called “Demons.” A title that might sound odd for a Christian song but it’s fantastic and I dedicate it to you today if you are struggling with mental health or some other battle, or with physical health or challenges at work, school or with family.
Let’s remember Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He says you are loved, precious in his sight and fearfully and wonderfully made. He says you are his child and he will never leave you.
Here is the chorus of the song:
And as I prayed, I heard my Father say
“Tell those demons, ‘Run and hide’”
They tremble at the name of Jesus every time
Fear ain't got a home here up inside my mind
Darkness has to leave up in this light, oh-oh
Repeat the words again and again, and believe them.
Pray to God when the song has finished and ask him to speak to you - what might He be telling you today? If you feel able share in the comments.
Praise God for his victory, our protection from the evil one, and the freedom and healing he brings us.
