“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy,”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭138‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“There he told them, “Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭40‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s pause before we pray - settle, be still and know Gods presence

Father God, thank you that we can come to you anytime, anywhere and pray to you knowing you will listen, knowing you are close.

Thank you for your presence and protection, for your unfailing love and grace.

Father, I thank you for those people who you bring to my mind right now:

Friends

Neighbours

Church family

Family

Colleagues

With joy I ask you to meet their needs, be for them all they need. Draw them closer to you. Heal them and guide them.

Father, I pray encouragement over my life. I pray strength for all I need to do knowing I do everything in your strength not my own.

Thank you for all my answered prayers and help me have more faith and trust for all those still unanswered prayers that I bring before you again now.

Help me not to give into temptations when I’m weak or distracted, tired or anxious. Help me turn to you, keep my eyes fixed on you.

I pray for peace and justice in the world. I am sorry for times when I have not been a peace maker or stood up for what is right. Forgive me and have mercy Father on me and on our world.

I pray for my church to hear the needs of this world and respond, take action and reach out to those in need.

I pray I can keep peace in my community, my house, my work and my church.

Search my heart. I pray for those who hurt me, those who I don’t like or I struggle with.

Thank you that I can bring all my emotions to you and I receive your deep peace. I receive your healing, I receive the Holy Spirit who fills me up to live and love the life you have blessed me with.

In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
